Following a series of high-profile fires in its new 458 Italia, it is rumoured by US car blog Jalopnik that Ferrari will today announce a recall of all 458 Italia models worldwide to fix the problem.
It is alleged that the glue used to fix the heat shields inside the bodywork is flammable and will be replaced by the Italian manufacturer with rivets.
Ferrari had already announced an investigation in the past week, but appeared to blame some of the incidents on driver error.

Launched late last year, the car beat off stiff competition to win 'Supercar of the Year' awards from Top Gear and GQ magazines and MSN UK.
It has been praised for moving the game on from the F430, which was already highly-accomplished.
