The rise of new in-car technology is about to hit the windscreen according to specialists Autoglass.

The windscreen of 2020 will be unrecognisable compared to the plain ones on offer in most cars today, with almost all the information you could need displayed on a head-up display in the driver's line of sight.

Autoglass reckons information on speed camera locations, hazards and even meal deals at local pubs and restaurants could be displayed for the driver to peruse on his trips around town.

This video was mocked up by the glass experts to show what the windscreen of 2020 will look like on a drive around London.

"The dashboard as we know it will become obsolete and the windscreen will act as a visual information board," said Autoglass. Check out the video to see the screen as it would look.
