In collaboration with the Renault design studio, Dacia is presenting its first crossover concept vehicle. The Duster is 4.25 metres long with four doors, combining the sporty features of a coupé with the roominess of an MPV. What stands out are the broad front apron and narrow air inlets with the typical Dacia radiator grille. Headlights that are very narrow but trail off far into the sides characterise the Duster's front. A further noticeable feature is the doors that open in opposing directions on one side for loading. The Duster is driven by a four cylinder 105bhp diesel engine which only consumes 53mpg.

Permalink | Email this | Comments

Andrew Hopkins

BMW 5 Series GT Concept

Filed under: Geneva Motor Show, Crossovers/CUVs, Concept Cars, BMW, Design studies

There's not a lot more that can be said about the BMW X6. The debate has been comprehensive, with criticism and praise being heaped on it in approximately equal measure. In short, you either love it or hate it. And that's the way it should be.

Keen to stay in the public eye, BMW have now gone one stage further with the Concept 5 Gran Turismo set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

As with the X6, the appropriate response is to either beat your breast with outrage or launch into the customary paean of praise. As the opinions of the trade press are bound to be extreme, I will try to focus first of all on the facts.
Continue reading BMW 5 Series GT Concept

Permalink | Email this | Comments

Pete Mait
